YouTube Studio does not allow users to edit only the audio track of a video directly within its interface. If you need to adjust or replace the audio for your YouTube video, you will have to use external audio editing software.
Here’s a general workflow:
- Download Your Video: First, download the video from YouTube that you want to edit.
- Edit the Audio Externally:
- Use an audio editing tool (like Audacity, Adobe Audition, or GarageBand) to open and edit the audio extracted from your video file.
- You can adjust levels, add effects, or completely replace the soundtrack.
- Combine Audio and Video:
- After editing or replacing the audio, you need to combine it back with the original video. This can be done using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or even free tools like Shotcut or DaVinci Resolve.
- Upload the Edited Video: Finally, upload the newly created video with the edited audio back to YouTube.
This process requires handling both video and audio files separately outside of YouTube. Unfortunately, as of now, there's no direct way to just isolate and edit the audio component of a video already uploaded on YouTube directly through YouTube Studio.
